Vermilion
County Museum, 116 North Gilbert Street, Dr. William
Fithian built this as his family home in 1855.
Restored and furnished in the Victorian style, it
was the sire of a speech by Abraham Lincoln.

Vermilion
County War Museum.
This over 12,800 sq. ft. military museum is
housed in what used to be a Carnegie Library.
The collection contains over 2,000 artifacts
& memorabilia from the early 1800’s to Desert
Storm. Displays
include; wood from “Old Ironsides, original discharge
papers from the Civil War, US, Japanese & German
weapons & equip. and much more.

Historical Society Museum, located in the old Ross
Township Building, this museum contains three floors of
Ross and South Ross Township history included is a
military room, a jail, an old school room, country
store, tool room, drug store, geneology room, doctors
office & a room representing early business in Roo
& S. Ross Township dating 1872-present. Open Tuesday and Saturday, noon-4pm or by appointment.
