Governor
Duncan Mansion, 4 Duncan Place, the only official
governor’s mansion outside Springfield, this three
story structure was used for state business during
Joseph Duncan’s term from 1834 to 1838.

The Jacksonville Heritage Cultural Center Museum is temporarily closed, and will reopen in 2007-2008 in the historic Old Jacksonville Post Office on East State Street. All new exhibits, highlighting the history of the city and it's people will be featured. For more information, call 217 243-7488
